Birthday Trip Part I: The Photoshoot in LA

First, let me start by saying I have never been one of those people who makes a big deal out of their birthday. I don’t celebrate for the week/month, and I rarely do big dinners or parties. I am more of a solo trip, just dinner with close friends or the family kind of gal. However, this year for my birthday I decide to switch it up and go visit one of my best girlfriends in LA and do a photo shoot while there. In our adult lives most times photo shoots are reserved for weddings, engagements, and or baby showers, so I did indulge myself a little with this shoot in downtown LA celebrating me and my birth!

I found an amazing photographer Fletcher @Fletchpowerfilms_com through my friend Nadia. If you a looking for a photographer in LA with great vision and direction, you should definitely look him up! He captured some great photos with me around downtown LA’s Arts District.

For the shoot I wanted to be super comfortable so I chose to wear my favorite vintage Levi jeans. You will see me wearing these often! I bought them from one of my favorite thrift stores the Goodwill on Midlothian in Richmond, VA and distressed them myself. The top I got from a little online boutique VICI Collection. I completed this look with a pair my favorite Christian Louboutin pumps and some statement earrings from Baublebar.
