Rooftop Pools in DC
Living in the city has so many advantages, but during the hot and hazy summer months it can be a struggle to get that much needed poolside relief!
Unless you are fortunate enough to live in a building with a pool (rent too damn high), or posh enough to have a membership to one of the Vida Fitness locations with rooftop pools (if so let’s be friends call me!) you can find yourself taking the trip out to the suburbs or maybe even longing to pop a fire hydrant. If you fall into either of the latter categories like me, here are 3 options to get your poolside fix, because who doesn’t love a good rooftop pool?
The Rooftop at Embassy Row
The Embassy Row hotel has a truly Instagram worthy rooftop with acute backdrop and props sponsored by Cîroc. The pools opens at 10 a.m. daily. On Saturdays I recommend getting there early to stake your claim to one the limited lounge chairs, because it gets packed! The live DJ and the rooftop cantina starts at 2 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays so you can enjoy the sun, music, and tasty eats! Oh, and did I mention Frose?

Rooftop Pool & Lounge at the Liaison Capitol Hill DC
The Liaison Hotel’s rooftop pool and lounge is absolutely lux and spacious. Not only can you get a day pass but they also offer Cabana rental for those who the full VIP experience. The pool opens at 8 a.m. and for those looking for a kid free experience adult swim is from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Food and drinks are served daily and if you go on a weekend be sure to check out the hotel restaurant Art and Soul for an amazing brunch!

DNV Rooftop Sunday Pool Party
For those that want to partake in Sunday Funday. The Dovonvan hotel’s rooftop, DNV, hosts a pool party every weekend. The trick here is lock down a date and register well in advance as space is limited and spots fill up quick! The party start at 12 p.m., brunch is served until 4 p.m. Mimosa by the pool on a rooftop, who can say no to that?
